£18.99 – 1xLP, Gatefold Vinyl
Hope St. came out 10 years ago to the day – March 21st 2011 – and, to celebrate, the band are delighted to announce that the album will be released for the first time on vinyl this September.
Not only that, but the four original members – Hamish Fingland, Barrie James, Chris Potter and Lewis Andrew – will reunite for a very special, one-off, home-town show, at Glasgow’s St Luke’s in December.
Hope St. is a timeless, inspired 12 song collection, drawing from many corners of the musical universe – the early R&B of Howlin’ Wolf, the funk and disco of Sly & The Family Stone, the 21st-century blues of The Black Keys and the Laurel Canyon vibes of Crosby, Nash, Stills and Young. An infectious, energetic and graceful piece of work from a band who were still in their early twenties, it’s loaded with optimism and melancholy in equal measure.
