£31.99 – 2xLP & DLC
For the first-time a stand-alone audio recording of Nirvana‘s concert video Live And Loud will be released. The MTV-shot performance at Seattle’s Pier 48 on 13th of December 1993 premiered on-air on New Year’s Eve 1993, but was not widely available until a DVD and the In Utero 20th Anniversary Super Deluxe Boxset were released in 2013.
Just as on MTV Unplugged In New York (shot just weeks prior to this concert), the iconic grunge band (Kurt Cobain, lead vocals/guitar; Dave Grohl, drums/backing vocals, and Krist Novoselic, bass guitar) were joined by second touring guitarist Pat Smear and Lori Goldston on cello. The album includes raucous live versions of Nirvana hits including “About A Girl”, “Sliver”, “Lithium”, “Come As You Are”, and “Heart-Shaped Box”, as well as an electric cover of David Bowie’s “The Man Who Sold The World”.
This 180-gram black audiophile 2xLP vinyl edition is housed in a gatefold jacket and comes with a replica backstage pass as a download card.
