When you place an order with us, you automatically accept these conditions – no tricks, nothing out of the ordinary – just there to protect you and us.
We try and stock most things, but not everything – there’s so much released right now – but we have access to everything available in the UK. If you are interested in ordering something that’s not on the site -send us a record request or e mail info@pieandvinyl.co.uk.
If you are having problems navigating the site or can’t find something – please e mail us or call the shop for instant help.
We appreciate your order, and no doubt you’ll be excited to get your records spinning. We will do our utmost to get your order to you as quickly as possible. With that in mind, it’s fair to mention that we are an open shop, and if busy we have to deal with what is in front of us.
For all standard shipping in the UK we use Royal Mail 2nd class tracked and signed in strong record mailers.
We ship internationally also. Prices vary, and the site is programmed to allow shipping to countries where we are confident it can arrive safely and at a reasonable cost. The shipping will automatically be calculated at the end of your check out.
Please note; We don’t take any responsibility for USA deliveries (the amount of postage depots they go through is insane, and sadly they often end up damaged)
For stock already released and in stock we will aim process & send orders within 24 – 48 hours of receipt.
You should receive your order within 2 – 5 days from when we complete your order and put in the post. (You’ll receive an auto e mail explaining that it’s complete and on the way!)
Overseas orders will take longer depending where in the world you are, but will be picked, processed and packed the same way.
You’ll receive a confirmation automatic email from us once you have placed your order. This will contain your order number & the details of your order. Please quote your order number when collecting your record or if you have any queries about your order.
If you don’t receive an e mail after you order has been placed (from Pie & Vinyl, along with Paypal) please check your junk mail. If there’s still no luck, you have impressive anti-spam software. Contact us, and we’ll get it to you another way.
If something you’ve ordered is out of stock, deleted or delayed, we will notify you as soon as possible. We tend to e mail if a title is delayed only if we have quality information (there are plenty of times when the distributor and label aren’t sure, so we have nothing to feed back to you)
If you are unhappy to wait, we will give you the option of swapping out for something else. Generating some online credit to choose something else, or just shipping your order without the problem record. We may have to charge postage if this falls below our free shipping policy.
All titles listed on our website are either in stock in the shop or available to order from our suppliers/distributors/labels at the time the inventory is set. There is a huge amount of inventory on the website, and this does occasionally slip due to human error. We will alert you if this happens, but will always try our best to source your record if there are any problems. Sometimes things may seem available, when they are out of stock for this reason.
All pre order titles are charged at the point of purchase. They will be shipped as soon as they land in the shop. Release dates will change, so please keep an eye on the site, if we haven’t quite managed to alert you.
Stock items are sent out for delivery with the aim of arriving for release date. This does depend on when we get the stock, and the time to book into our inventory system, process through the till, pack and then ship
If you have ordered over the free shipping threshold, and your order contains items with varying release dates – your order will be shipped together when the last release date is fulfilled.
This may sound funny, but we have been through so many things in the past few years right? So please bare in mind things like the weather, postal strikes, pandemics, petrol crisis etc are beyond our control.
We are a small passionate team that always does their best, and will respond to any question in time. We are truly independent and have a small committed team.
If you are local, or passing – or fancy a day trip (Southsea is great!) You can choose to collect your order in the shop rather than have it posted out to you.
Select the Click & collect option at the check out if you’d like to do this.
You will then receive an auto email when your order is ready to collect along with an order number. Please quote this number when you visit the shop. If it’s a new release title, but you receive an e mail before release date – please always collect from the release date.
If you have ordered a mixture of in stock items, items we may need to order in for you, pre-orders etc, you may receive separate emails for each part of the order.
If you’d rather collect all elements of your order together, we are happy to hold everything for you to collect together.
Please try and collect your orders within 14 days of release or time you have ordered and received a collection notification.
We have a tiny amount of space and cannot store orders for collection long term. Any orders not collected within three months of being made available may be disposed or re listed for sale.
We currently use Paypal and have implemented a separate card facility. You will be charged when your order has been successfully placed.
In some circumstances, you can call the shop and place an order over the phone. Give it a try, we will do our best to help!
Just to mention, we do not see or store your card details under any circumstances.
Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. We cannot accept refunds for gift cards due to the way they are set up.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item.
The refund will be actioned using the same method as you paid with.
Your refund will be actioned within 2 – 7 days depending on which method you used to pay with.
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us and we’ll try to help.
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email or phone us. We’ll need to check we have stock and discuss options if not.
If you purchased online gift credit you’ll receive a gift credit to the value of your purchase. The will arrive as a gift certificate and credit code will be e mailed to you.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. If we have made an error, or you have received a faulty item we will refund your shipping with a proof of postage receipt.
We don’t take any responsibility with your shipping and packing method, but advise royal mail signed and tracked.
Order Update
You can check on the status of an order at any time by signing into your account. if however you cannot find the information you require, please email us at info@pieandvinyl.co.uk or give us a call.
if you have any problems with an order you have received from us, (damaged/faulty etc etc.) please notify us straight away at info@pieandvinyl.co.uk
Please send pictures etc. and detail what the issue is.
Remember to check your turntable arm is balanced correctly, and anti-skate is working correctly. This solves many problems.
If any titles are missing from your order, please check your emails first as we will have emailed you to explain that we could only offer part of the order. Also check your paypal/account to see if any refunds have been sent to you. We also explain why we have refunded on the paypal notes.

If the estimated delivery time has passed and then some… Check that you haven’t been left a redelivery note from royal mail. They are usually held at your local post office, and need to be collected or redelivered. We are at the mercy of the local postie I’m afraid. We can’t control where they leave the notification note, or what is on it.
Everything is sent signed and tracked, so we should be able to fins anything that is considered ‘lost’. Due to many world situations which could affect the post, it is sometimes slower. If you haven’t received your package 15 days after the auto e mail – please contact us.
If your package is definitely missing, please email info@pieandvinyl.co.uk quoting your order number, and we’ll contact Royal Mail and find out as much info as we can.
If an order is returned to us after an unsuccessful delivery, usually due to an incorrect address being provided/ Not being collected from the sorting office or for any other reason beyond our control, you will be expected to pay the additional postage for redelivery.

We will action this for you up to 7 days after placing the order.
Please be aware that as we turn orders around as quickly as possible, in some instances we may not be able to respond to your request before we have posted the order to you.
We only sale new records, we do not sell second-hand records. We sometimes open records for social post pictures, merchandising in the shop etc. If you buy the last copy, you may receive an unsealed copy, but it will be brand new an un played.
All sale items purchased will be in varying conditions, but the record will have been un played. Rest assured, we do treat our records like our children, so any damage to covers, corners etc is unusual but may occur if it’s been in the crates for a time. There may also be some missing components, but the record, disco sleeve and cover will always be included. This is a very rare occurrence and all usually all records include all their components.
If you wish to cancel or return an order for any of the reasons highlighted above, you need to notify us by email with your order number and include pictures etc if necessary.
We will email you with instructions on the return asap.
You will be responsible for getting the records back to us in the condition they arrived in.
We reserve the right to not process returns sent to us without prior permission or knowledge.
We’ll provide a full refund for goods returned in accordance with these conditions no later than 30 days after we receive the records from you.
Limited edition releases have to be shared out amongst all of the retailers who order them & sometimes there aren’t enough to go around. occasionally the orders we place for limited edition releases are cut back by the distributors. normally we are notified of this & will update the site accordingly. however on very rare occasions, we will not find this out until the delivery arrives. if this means that we cannot fulfil all our customer orders, we will allocate stock on a strictly first come first served basis & notify anyone who missed out immediately. usually, limited edition items are restricted to 1 purchase per person & any orders placed for multiple copies will be cancelled – play nicely with the special rare stuff!
Prices are subject to change & and may differ from the amount listed on the site. Prices change all the time, usually without any notice.
If there is a change in price between when you place your order & when it is shipped, we will contact you to confirm whether you want to proceed with the order.
All prices include vat
You will be responsible for paying any customs duties or taxes that your country imposes. we will label packages, where applicable, with the value of your order (excluding postage charges) sent abroad clearly with the value. we have no influence over the length of time that customs choose to hold your order.
Product information can change at the drop of a hat. Good examples may be the change to the colour of the LP, the title and on many occasions the release date.
We will try to notify you of any big changes that may hamper your experience, but changes in colour, title etc we will presume you are happy with.
All details given to us will be treated with the strictest confidence all information held is kept in a secure server and is not released to any ‘third parties’ whatsoever, we fully comply with the Data Protection Act. These Terms of Use do not affect your statutory rights.
